This is my dome the highway patrol made me cut it in half because it stuck out over the edges of the truck so far. Check out how wide the shutter is and how far past zenith it opens. Posted by: stlfiremedic35 On: Sep 22 2007, 10:27 PM |

This is the wheel i`ll use for dome rotation, 5inch wheel assemble is 8 inches high. I got 8 of these, they have a grease fitting, and brass sleeves not bierings. they were $ 10 a piece at discount tool place. Posted by: stlfiremedic35 On: Sep 22 2007, 06:55 PM |

Ya know, this has something to say for it now that I look at it again. There's a lot of irregularity in the skirt of the ED, but up at the lip/skirt juncture where your wheel makes contact it's more circular. Thus this might avoid some of the issues of out-of-round skirts have raised. What'd you do when cold weather makes the dome contract, though?... Rich Posted by: Richard B.
