Some posts haven't had updates since 2008. Anyone know what happend to a guy named Mark Cislo? He was in the middle of a dome project in 2010 and then nothing.

Most, if not all of the observatory guys have fallen by the wayside....this site is visited mainly by the planetarium minded folks.
No idea what happened to Mark.

The forum looked very active then nothing. Maybe most lost interest or had economy problems.

The forum had it's beginnings on Cloudy Nights when several of us were in contact with the Explora-Dome folks to actually design the dome. It went into production and the forum went to it's own website. Then a splinter group broke off to yahoo. The original group then migrated to this site. Since then I think the fun of the design phase waned, the construction folks had little to do with us other than to sell domes, and we lost a good bunch of good folks. At this point the manufacturer works pretty close with the owner/moderator of the yahoo group. You might find Mark on that site.
