Hi we are moving the Braeside Observatory from Flagstaff AZ to Orderville Utah. The Braeside Observatory was built by the late Robert Fried. The Braeside Observatory was a small, but modern privately oprated astronomical research facility. With the help from the USNO and Zions Gateway Planetarium. the Project is moving very well.

That's quite a move. I must admit that I love the population listed for Orderville. I, for one, would love to see more pictures of the move as well as old and new location.

I worked with Bob Fried at Braeside in Flagstaff from about 1982 to 1986 and remained involved in to the nineties. He was also my father-in-law. Sad to see it leave its home but glad to see someone picked it up. I did the programming of the photoelectric photometer, data reduction SW for photometry and finally the automation system that pointed the telescope. At the time it was all driven by
2 Apple ][ computers running C and assembly language. Ed Mannery for t he University of Washington did most of the instrument design. Great guy. Anyway. Good luck with the project.
