where the HAY did you find this CM? who knew they had fan belts ... Timing belts are the greatest thing for many types of equipment. They are a lot quieter then gears and easily allow for errors in placement of various components. I have used them in many projects that required precise timing, not the least of which was my rebuilding of the A3P. -------------------- Ron Walker

Pretty rich, eh? Ebay is a good place to explore the arcane... or simply the interesting! One can also learn about the contractor who built the interesting concrete shell of the McDonnell planetarium (St. Louis). To paraphrase "Fletch": "It's all timing belts these days".

Wow... it is still there. That is really something. Too bad I don't have the $ to take a trip down there!! It'd be fun photographing it!
(and seeing it work). I wonder if it's still supported "in mid air" with cables? -------------------- Charlie Miller

I wonder if it's still supported "in mid air" with cables? I would imagine that the eight cables still support and stabilize the projector. -------------------- Ron Walker
