Hi All,
I have been up north for the better part of this month trying to establish a "livable beachhead" on our property. While we do have Internet access, it is not the best and drops out enough to make posting a pain in the posterior. Back now, it is good to see that everything is working well without me "The Planetarium Projector Museum" A one of a kind collection (perhaps the best in the world) of planetarium projectors and accessories. http//:www.PlanetariumMuseum.org "The Home Planetarium Association" (HPA) If some of us on this forum tend to intimidate (believe me it is not intentional as we are here to help anyone at any stage of planetarium development) a great place to start is here. A working planetarium can be built extremely inexpensively as is proven at this web site. Stop by and investigate. I wish I was a charter member and am glad I'm one now. http//:www.planetariumsathome.com "Planetariums Club" Another place with so much information that you can get lost for days. http://www.planetariumsclub.org/ "The Planetarium Network" Basically for professionals, but they let me join so I guess they'll take just about anybody. http://planetarium.ning.com/ "Fulldome" Fulldome Video Discussion Group. This is a place that we are somewhat lacking. This group makes up for it and will give you all the information you'll need to work with full dome video projection. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fulldome/ "Small Planetarium" Small or Portable Planetarium Group Angled toward video projection for the "cash starved" (isn't that all of us) planetarian. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/small_p...yguid=255564809 "Dome-L" The pros place. This is where the big boys talk (argue???). However, they did let me in and they're all way above me. Becoming a member of IPS might have helped. http://www.ips-planetarium.org/resources/domel.html "Loch Ness Productions" Producers of programs for planetarium shows. Also image and music suppliers. Great list of where to find a planetarium should the need arise. http://www.lochnessproductions.com/index2.html "Ash Enterprises" The professionals fix it place. Parts and complete planetariums available here. Also great info on setting your planet projectors. http://www.ash-enterprises.com/ "Steve Pielock Planetarium Repair" Another professional fix it place with some great information on smaller projectors. http://www.pielock.com/ "Lhoumeau Sky-System" Chemed found this "home built" video fisheye system well worth the look. Also has a lot of great links. http://lss-planetarium.ovh.org/index.php?l...mp;page=project -------------------- Ron Walker
