One I know of off hand was Mark Cisco...

Somewhere around page 5 or 6 in that thread... He did a Plywood roof with an (I believe) aluminum skin...

Hi Neo,

Long time no chat!

Actually a guy a know has a 12 X 12 roll-off and has just ordered a ExplorDome to retrofit. I remembered someone had made there own transition panels. The one you pointed to is the one!

Mark did a great job!

Thanks,

Dale

"Peel 'n' Seal" is the product that you're trying to think of. It's self-adhesive flexible plastic sheeting. Available at Lowe's here in Va. in 6" wide rolls. It appears to be available elsewhere in larger sheets. The adhesive is apparently very "aggresive" as they like to say, so it helps to have an assistant during application.

Hi

I used peal and seal on mine over 1/2 inch plywood and am very happy with it. It is aluminum with a black tar like sticky backing that really sticks. If it is a little coolwhen you put it on all you have to do is warm it as you apply it with a heat gun and it will reactivate the sticky backing. You can also bend it around corners.

Look under "Gene's" observatory.
