Full Version: New Planetarium Classifieds Forum
Observatory Central > Planetarium Forum > Planetariums as a hobby

Hi Everyone,

I added a new Classifieds Forum for all of you Planetarium enthusiasts. I thought it might help you with your restorations and other projects.

You can use the classifieds to post your Want Ads if you're looking for Planetariums, parts or other items and you may also post Ads for whatever you have for sale.

I recommend creating a New Post (new topic) when you place your Ad. It makes it a little easier for people to scan the page and find what they are looking for by reviewing the post topics.

I hope you find the new forum useful. Please don't hesitate to share positive or negative feedback with me. I can add more forums or otherwise make changes if you have a suggestion that you think will improve the forum.

Thanks,

Dave

In case anybody hasn't noticed, that new classified ads forum is up a level in the forum, and you need to get out of this level to see it. Go up to the Observatory Central Level, then you can drop down into the Planetarium classifieds forum.

I need to clarify an error I made about the EX-3 on the eBay.au auction site. That item is, in fact, available for shipping outside Australia. I don't know why he didn't list it on the US eBay site. The $2000 AU opening price is equivalent to about $1723 US. I don't think he has had any takers yet. If anybody wants to comment on this, you should probably take it over to the classifieds forum. I'm only mentioning it here because I wanted to clarify the error I made, and hope that it gets seen. I will post my comment over there on the classifieds as well.

I was wondering if the classifieds could be made subcategory of the "Planetariums as a Hobby" section. It's way too easy to overlook postings in the classifieds section when we aren't used to going up a level and back down to find them. We could probably set up a subsubscription to the classifieds section, but most people aren't going to think of doing that. Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree, however, in my opinion, there is even a larger problem. Should one make a post in a forum heading subtopic, and then someone else places a post in a different subtopic under the same category forum heading, then the first post will usually go by unoticed, unless you take the time to check forum category for other possible new posts..... Now, perhaphs I did not explain that very well, but it is a problem and, in my opinion, it was better before. Just my 2 cents worth...
